PSI releases a new generation of ultra-low phase noise oscillators
The SLOOP range of Sapphire Loaded Cavity Oscillators.
These oscillators represent a new level of affordability in ultra-low phase noise microwave oscillators, with typical phase noise performance surpassing that of the best quartz based signal sources, and exhibiting superbly clean and low far from carrier noise.
The SLOOP features:
- Extremely low phase noise amplifiers based on many parallel HBT's eliminating the need for noise reduction circuitry
- Significantly improved start up time over previous sapphire-based resonators, coming to temperature lock within 2 minutes over the operation temperature range.
- Tunable with the ability to lock to a reference signal
- Vibration sensitivity that is comparable to standard SLC resonators.
